The advent of artificial intelligence (AI) has opened up opportunities across various sectors, including education.

There has been a huge amount written and said about the potential applications of this technology in classrooms and for pupils, but less about how it might be brought to bear on the wider issue of school quality. Based on a series of experimental trials run by the team at Etio, this report explores ways in which AI might improve the effectiveness of school reviews, from the nature of the evidence and how it is gathered, to the ways in which it can be used to enhance the validity and reliability of review outcomes.
