Tribal Education Services rebrands as "Etio" – elevating education, everywhere

We’re thrilled to announce today the global launch of Etio as the new brand for Tribal Education Services, incorporating Class Measures and i-graduate. The move brings together all our businesses worldwide under a single brand name, creating a unified brand that supports international collaboration and dialogue, and aid us in our vision to elevate education, everywhere.

Why "Etio"?

The new name, Etio, which means ‘cause’ in Greek, better reflects our mission. It is a testament to our cause - because that’s literally what it means, “cause”. Etio partners with governments worldwide to support them to deliver large scale projects which improve the quality and impact of education. And because what we do is based on evidence and hard-won experience, understanding what causes change is central to our mission. Hence, “Etio”..

A trusted partner, globally

We have been a proud delivery partner to the UK Department for Education (DfE) since 2006, working on critical national projects including: the National Tutoring Programme (NTP), the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM), The Advanced Mathematics Support Programme (AMSP), Multiply Adult Numeracy Programme, National Professional Qualifications (NPQs), and the Isle of Man schools external validations.

We provide performance benchmarking to the New Zealand tertiary education sector via our long-standing contract with the Tertiary Education Commission Te Amorangi Mātauranga Matua, delivering insight and guidance to all tertiary education institutions.

In the US, we are a key partner delivering school improvement and transformation projects to States, Districts and schools across the country, including support and improvement services for New York State Education Department (NYSED), the PRPIL Teacher Licensure program for Massachusetts Department of Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and Quality Reviews of Teacher Preparation Providers on behalf of the Louisiana Department of Education.

We have supported government organisations across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) since 2008, developing inspections systems and frameworks, training inspectors, and conducting comprehensive inspections in over 800 institutions since 2015.

Delivering with impact

As Etio, we continue our work with education institutions, bodies and governments around the world to help them improve and secure better futures for the populations they serve. We achieve this through our four cornerstones of delivery:

  • Education Review: Supporting system-wide knowledge, accountability, and quality improvement.
  • Education Transformation: Accelerating impact through strategic planning, expanded leadership, and enhanced capability.
  • Education Workforce Development: Preparing, equipping and empowering a high-performing workforce.
  • Performance Benchmarking: Driving world-class financial performance and student experience through evidence and comparative insights.

Committed to doing the right thing

We always strive to do the right thing. We put people first, always, because we know that however smart our solutions, when it all comes down to it, it’s people that make the difference. Our people are drawn from all around the world to provide our clients and partners with the global capabilities and local understanding that turn insight into evidence-based action. They are what enable us to deliver on our mission – to elevate education, everywhere.

Etio | Tribal Group

Etio will continue to bring you the expert insights, expertise, experience and energy that have always been the foundation of our specialist consultancy services to governments and institutions internationally for over 25 years.
