The Challenge
New York State Education Department (NYSED)seeks to accelerate improvement in designated Target Districts and Identified Schools by strengthening education leadership and building sustainable, district- and school-level capacity for continuous improvement. The core challenge of the Implementing Continuous Improvement Technical Assistance (ICITA) project is to provide technical assistance that translates state goals into measurable, school-embedded outcomes—especially given New York’s student diversity, regional variation, and the imperative for equity and inclusion.
